Inspired by autumn or winter, we love the two-material jacket, mixing denim and fleece.
A great way to upcycle your denim jacket.
At Tilli, as you know, we have two missions. The first is to offer you home alterations at the same price as a local alteration shop. The second is to raise awareness of the need to turn to responsible fashion. And to do that, we invite you to recycle and upcycle your clothes.
What's the point of embarking on this great adventure whose path isn't always obvious?
Well, it's about thinking global and thinking bigger. It's about thinking about who made your clothes and under what conditions. It's about thinking about the possible chemicals used in the making, the ending journeys your clothes have made before reaching you. It's about thinking about nature and all the living beings that make it up.
In other words, it's about asking yourself if your new £10 t-shirt is worth all the trouble it's caused.
For this upcycling, you'll need a denim jacket, a piece of fleece wool and a super Tillist!"
The idea being to mix materials while keeping your denim jacket as a base.
Together, we can define which parts of the jacket you'd like to see covered in wool.
It could be the sleeves, the collar, the cuffs, the top of your jacket or, on the contrary, the bottom.
And for the more committed among you, we can even consider a coloured wool!
