Do your jeans feel tight and you can't fasten the button? Here are a few tips on how to make your denim feel more comfortable!
If you just want to loosen up your jeans and gain 1 or 2 centimetres, there are several options available to you.
The first is to soak your jeans in a bath of cold water with vinegar and bicarbonate or shampoo. Leave it to soak for at least 30 minutes and then let it air dry.
Warning: don't wring it out with your hands, you can optionally wrap it in towels and wring them out to get the water out.
The second option is to dampen or wet your jeans and wear them while doing sports exercises. Squats to widen the thighs and buttocks, pedalling for the calves, etc.
Granted, it's not very practical, but it works!
You can also, while wetting your jeans, pull them or pad them where necessary.
To widen a pair of jeans by several centimetres, you'll need to use your imagination and creativity.
In fact, in this specific case, you'll need to add material to bring ease, where it's needed. Waist, thighs?
Determine the degree of ease required by taking your measurements. You'll need to transfer them to pieces of fabric that you'll sew between the seams of your denim.
For example, strips of fabric on the outside of the thighs will provide general ease.
A small triangle of elastane fabric placed on each side of the hips will meanwhile widen the waist of your jeans.
Here, it's up to you to judge and test.
You can also use original fabrics that will add style to your jeans.
