It's time to get your old denim jackets out of the wardrobe again!
Is the cut outdated? The colour a little faded? The style outdated? In short, there's something not quite right!
Why not give it a new lease of life by upcycling?
Fringes are back in fashion again!
Here's a relatively simple upcycling idea as all you'll need to do is add fringes to the back of your jacket and why not on the outside of the sleeves.
The result is simply stunning.
The little extra: you can bleach some of the fringes or, on the contrary, colour them with gold, silver or even a rainbow gradient!
The great thing about the denim jacket is that as much as it will find its beauty in sobriety, it will explode with potential in completely wacky colour and material combinations.
Here, we're appealing to your artistic soul. Think of your jacket as a blank canvas. Let the inspiration come and let loose. Think of it as an art project in its own right.
Painting, drawing, sewing... just go for it! The result will be stunning!
To take it a step further, you can mix denim with other materials such as old knits or other fabrics you have at home that you think would go well with your jacket.
This idea is more technical and requires skills that only good seamstresses will have.
If you're not there yet, you can call on one of our Makers. They are seamstresses, designers, embroiderers, pattern makers, ... With the Tilliste of your choice, you can collaborate on this upcycling project of yours and become the new stylist of your wardrobe. Pretty cool, right?
