Upcycling: use your fabric scraps

If you're lucky enough to have lots of pretty fabrics at your disposal, now's the time to get them out! You'll be able to create accessories or personalise your clothes with just a few snips of the scissors.

Don't forget that you can also pick up fabric scraps at haberdashers, sometimes for free. Don't hesitate to ask.

Personalise your travel cushion

Now that you've selected your favourite fabric, all you have to do is cut it and sew it onto your travel cushion.

To do this, you can sew up the original fabric and use it for the pattern. The shape of travel cushions is somewhat atypical, so be meticulous when tracing and cutting.

You can then sew your cushion, not forgetting to leave a large enough opening to insert the cushion into its new cover.

You can finish the sewing by hand or by machine, as you wish.

If you have any doubts about preparing the pattern or stitching, don't hesitate to ask our Tillists. We also have some lovely fabric scraps at our disposal and would be delighted to personalise your travel cushion for you!
