Responsible curtains thanks to upcycling
Since the early days of Tilli, we retouch and customise your old curtains to avoid making new waste and over-consumption.
In fact, more often than not, we throw away things that simply need a little sprucing up. A neat belt, some pretty embroidery or new ties would certainly be enough to restore your curtains to their former glory.
So we use existing materials that we recycle and transform: this is upcycling.
How do you choose the style of your curtains?
We'll be delighted to help you choose your curtains. A few questions can already give you some food for thought: for what reason(s) do you want to put up curtains? Is it to hide a vis-à-vis, to delimit or enlarge a space, to black out light or quite simply, is it an element of decoration?
In the living room, curtains occupy an essential role, they protect your privacy! In winter, they add a layer to separate you from the cool windows. And on a day-to-day basis, they dress up your interior, adapting perfectly to your decor and allowing you to express your creative ideas.
We advise you never to overlook the power of colour, especially when it comes to interior design. If your living room is dark, don't hesitate to install curtains in light shades. On the one hand, they give the impression of a larger window, on the other they can soften the overall mood by reflecting natural light.
Darker colours allow you to add a touch of chic, they contrast with light walls and can make reminders with your sofas and armchairs. The ideal combo for a warm atmosphere and a cocooning effect.

Which curtain Finishing(s) would you like?
Once you've chosen your fabric, it's worth thinking about the finish you want for your curtain.
What type of hem would you like? A brittle hem or perhaps a shaved hem?Learn how to tell them apart by reading our special hem article. Expect to pay €222 to make a pair of curtains on a 3m rod and a height of 3m, and €12 more for a height of 4m.
All that's left is to choose the most suitable hook: nuts, eyelets, tabs, gathering braids Here too, the style and fabric you've chosen will be able to help you validate your choice. Take the time to think about it and share your ideas and doubts with your Tilliste.
Tailor-made curtains just for you

Do you have any surplus fabric left in your cupboards? As you know, everything can be transformed with your Tilliste. Trained in model making and true artisans, they're full of ideas and can advise you on how to put your scraps to good use.
