Depending on the style of dress chosen, the length of your dress can be altered by your dressmaker:
- Either for a midi skirt version, allowing your ankles to show,
- Or for a long dress version.For this alteration the hem should be made with your final shoes so that only the tips of your shoes are showing.

Going from a long sleeve to a ¾ sleeve, or cap sleeves, will again depend on the style you want. The seamstress will need to alter the sleeve of your dress, either by the sleeve head or by the bottom of the sleeve.

Your seamstress can easily remove a few centimetres from a bust neckline to add more depth. For those who are fans of bare backs à la "Mireille Darc" it is also possible to create a décolleté in the back.
Be careful, however, to keep a certain balance between the décolleté in the front and in the back so that the dress doesn't slip over your shoulders.

This touch-up can be done by adjusting your dress at the waist to properly mark out your silhouette.
The seamstress will also have the option, depending on your morphology, of altering the bust of your dress by making darts (under the bust for example).
To obtain a more emphasised silhouette the alteration could be carried out by taking up the side seams of your dress as well.

It all depends on how many alterations you need to make to your dress. It is sometimes necessary to schedule two appointments with your dressmaker.
This is why we recommend a minimum of one month before the wedding. However, for a simple hem, 15 days will be sufficient.
