Ah... the leather Trousers that we love so sexy and skin-tight!
But let's be honest, sometimes they're so tight you can barely walk or breathe. So can we give them a little ease?
Tilli gives you her secrets and explains how to be comfortable in your leather.
Leather is a natural, living material that stretches naturally, as it is used. If you wear your Trousers regularly and do a few squats in them, they will stretch. But hey, we recognise that it will take time.
Another option is to stuff it with a damp cloth and leave it for a while. You'll need as much fabric as possible to fill your Trousers and stretch them accordingly.
And yes, there are indeed sprays that stretch leather. You'll find them online or in shoe shops.
These sprays soften the leather. So you'll need to wear your Trousers straight afterwards so they can stretch easily.
Finally, there are two options for widening your Trousers.
The first is to dip them in a water bath for about ten minutes and then wear them still wet. Not very comfortable but it will soften the leather to your waist.
The second option is to run your Trousers through the tumble dryer again for about ten minutes (fifteen maximum). The heat from the appliance will reproduce the effects of wear on a garment worn for a long time. You can even add a trainer or tennis balls to the tumbler of the tumble dryer. This will accentuate the friction of the leather and allow it to wear evenly.
