If your aim is just to gain a few centimetres, plunging your Trousers into a bath could be enough!
To do this, use warm water and shampoo or conditioner. The idea here is to stretch the fibres of the fabric.
You can leave your Trousers in the water for as long as you like, but at least 30 minutes.
Then rinse your Trousers and wring them out by rolling them up in towels (not by hand, this is important).
Finally, let them air dry and cross your fingers that the waistband has expanded slightly!
If you want to widen your Trousers by more than 2 or 3 centimetres, you're going to have to start sewing!
