Repairing a vintage Burberry jacket with stoppage
Some pieces of our wardrobe are made to last. A fine wool coat, a well-cut gabardine trench coat, a cashmere sweater... These quality garments, when well cared for, can accompany us for decades. And when they've belonged to a loved one, their value becomes priceless. A coat handed down by a relative, a jacket worn on a special occasion, a garment imbued with memories: we keep them not just for their style, but for what they represent. So, despite all the care we take with them, they're not immune to a snag or a hole. Fortunately, to avoid further damage, there are repair solutions that can preserve these garments without altering their appearance. These include a rare and highly precise technique: invisible stoppage. Our craftsmen suggested this method to Isabelle, a customer who came to us with a Burberry jacket that belonged to her mother. Unfortunately, one of the sleeves had a hole in it. Rather than opt for a conventional repair, she wanted a perfect, undetectable result. Our craftsman Daniela took care of the job with exceptional skill. Discover how she invisibly restored this precious piece.Posted 1 months ago
Transform your wedding dress into 3 garments
Your wedding dress is a precious keepsake you don't want to part with. But it's taking up space and you know it will be difficult to wear again. You could, of course, keep it in the hope of passing it on one day, but there's another option: give it a second life and make it part of your everyday wardrobe. That's exactly what Juliette thought. Her dress, a sumptuous lace creation with a bare back and train, was a real gem, but far too imposing to be carried over. And yet, she treasured her fabric and dreamed of wearing it again, in another form. So she called on TILLI artisans to transform her dress into elegant, easy-to-wear pieces. Discover how her wedding dress was transformed into three unique garments, combining creativity, craftsmanship and responsible commitment.Posted 1 months ago
