Let's find out today how to give your curtains an attractive finishing touch with tabs.
Simple, double, with tassels or otherwise, tabs bring a certain refinement and simplicity to your curtains. You'll also get impeccable straight fall and an even wave on your curtain.
Before you get started, make sure you wash and iron your fabrics properly. After washing, some fabrics, such as cotton or linen, shrink considerably.
Consider making wide wavy curtains with relatively long hems, this will allow you to adapt the same curtains on different windows, should you move house.
You can choose the same fabrics for your curtains and your legs or, on the contrary, play on the harmony of materials or colours.
To determine the dimensions of your curtain, measure your window in length and width.
We generally recommend doubling the width so that the curtain can have pretty undulations.
And don't forget to include stitching values, hemming and an overhang of around 15cm on each side of your curtain if it's individual.

Whether you're a beginner or not, you should know that the curtain legs are a book accessible to all levels.
On the basis of your curtains, you will cut rectangles of fabric of the same size: these are the tabs. You will obviously determine the dimensions according to the size of your curtain. As an example, you might consider fitting a tab every 15 centimetres.
Next, cut two large strips of fabric the same length as your curtain. These will be used to attach the tabs to the curtain, one above and one below.
Remember to topstitch the sides and hem well.
