Ethical curtains thanks to upcycling

As you know, we already offer a classic retouch on curtains, i.e. our Tillists can repair or customize your damaged curtains.

But the little novelty is that we can now
create your curtains to measure!"

At Tilli, we're passionate about advocating
responsible, accessible fashion. Fashion that's beautiful but respects the planet and the makers who design it. And that's how we put our know-how and ethics at your service.

Made-to-measure curtains

So how does this work in practice?

Every interior is different - as we all intrinsically are - and that's why we make your curtains
tailor-made.

The dimensions are defined according to your window and the style chosen after discussing
your needs and your desires.

You can benefit from the
savoir-faire of our Tillistes to help you with your choice of fabrics. For example, linen, velvet or jacquard will be more conducive to masking the light while sheer will ensure your intimacy while letting the sun's rays through.... Furthermore, a heavy curtain will more easily form beautiful undulations and will naturally take up more space in your room.

Choosing a curtain doesn't happen by chance. You may want it
discreet or imposing, sober or coloured. For that matter, would you like a single curtain, a pair of curtains or even double curtains?

Finishing options

Once you've chosen your fabric, you can consider the finishing of your curtain. We're talking, of course, about the curtain head and its ourlet.

Did you know that there are no less than a dozen options for choosing your
curtain head?

Gathered ribbons, knots, pointed tabs, flat quilted pleats, eyelets... It will depend on the style you want to bring to your room, but also on the fabric you've chosen. For example,
pointed tabs bring beautiful undulations and a straight fall on thick fabrics. Flat picked plies, on the other hand, will be perfect for veiling and bring elegance to your curtain.

As for the choice of
hem, this will be just as important. In fact, we've written an article on the subject, which we invite you to take a look at. In it, you'll discover the secrets of the shaving hem and the breaking hem. Take the time to discuss them with your sewist, who will be able to advise you.

The benefits of the Tilli service

At Tilli, we love the human, exchanges and work well done. And that's what you'll find when you visit your Tilliste: the pleasure of bespoke service, as we so loved to do back in the day.

The pandemic is giving new meaning to local services. And at Tilli we're committed to promoting local makers and creating links. Hence the importance of multiplying
contacts and exchanges (well protected of course!).

Choosing Tilli means benefiting from the
savoir-faire of an experienced sewist, at your home and just for you!"

What's more, we make it a point of honor to keep our service affordable, which is why we offer
lower rates than traditional market players. Count 150€ for the making of 3m high double curtains with hidden looped ribbons.
