2020 has certainly been the year of the house! Indeed, the various confinements have forced us to stay at home and, indirectly, to take the time to observe our interiors.
Many of you have told us about your desire for decorating changes, and this has prompted us to enlarge our range of services more quickly than expected! Recycling, upcycling, transforming, do it yourself are all new terms that are gaining in popularity. And Tilli is part of this same dynamic.

Personalise your sofa cover
To give your sofa an inexpensive makeover, the best thing we've found is to sew a new slipcover.
This avoids the need to buy a new sofa - and mass consumption in the process - and keeps them out of the bulky goods bin because their upholstery no longer appeals, even though they're still in excellent condition.
With this new offer, we wanted to be able to offer a less expensive alternative to the traditional upholsterer. Your budget is controlled and the planet, better protected. It takes 191€ to create a cover for a 2-seater sofa, including the throw, seat, backrest and the work of your sewist maker.
Besides, it's also really gratifying to think that you've participated in the creation of a piece of your interior, don't you think?
A cover developed to make your life easier
A sofa cover? Yes, but how? The slipcover is made up of a cover that fits directly over the frame. The backrest and seats, also covered with a new slipcover, are then placed on top.
You can consider covering your entire sofa, or just focusing on certain elements.Our sewists are at your service, to offer you sur-mesure, according to your needs and desires.
We've developed a cover that's easily made by our Tillistes, durable and 100% customizable. For example, perhaps you'd like to have pretty bows on your cover? Or would you prefer to have it embroidered with a pattern or initials?
Sort through your closets before we arrive, perhaps you'll be lucky enough to find an old linen sheet that could form the basis of your new slipcover?
What you need to know to co-create your cover
A few things you need to know to get your sofa slipcover by Tilli right. First, it only applies to straight sofas at the moment. We are working to be able to offer you a solution for corner sofas or with a meridienne.
Naturally, backrests and seats must be removable. And you will need, in advance of your first appointment, to have the fabric of your choice, washed beforehand.In the event that the sofa in question is made of leather, we invite you to take a look at our articles on the special leather upcycling or on leather repair. From our side, we'll be able to help you take care of your thin leathers, but for thicker leathers, you'll have to turn to other professionals.
Creating your sofa slipcover takes two or three steps. First, your sewist will come to you to take the necessary measurements, discuss your project with you and advise you as best he can on the finishing touches. He will also take the opportunity to collect your fabrics.
Please allow three to five days for your cover to be made.
During the second appointment, your Tilliste will be able to install the pier and seat and back covers. If necessary, your maker can take the opportunity to pin the hem. He'll bring back the finished slipcover for a third appointment.
Dress up your sofa with all kinds of cushions
In this final section, we'd like to talk to you about accessorizing. Adding cushions or plaids to a sofa is sometimes enough to completely modernize it.
So go all out and let your inner creativity speak for itself.
